Sessions at the 17th National Conference on Learning Disabilities are being presented under the following themes:

Effective Instruction

This theme includes sessions centered around multisensory language instruction, math, engaging  students in culturally appropriate contexts, behaviour and early childhood education settings.

Community Partnerships

This theme includes sessions centered around the need for an interdisciplinary and coordinated approach to prevent and mitigating the personal and social costs of LD.  Session topics include early literacy, culturally appropriate approaches to education from a First Nation perspective, community literacy partnerships, health and justice.

Keynote for this theme is Dr. Martin Brokenleg.
